Whole Systems Approach to Pest Management

November 10, 2022 10 am

Gina is a licensed PCA and CCA with a Specialty in Sustainability. She has worked in the Salinas Valley for over 30 years and has been able to experience first hand, when it comes to farming organically, it involves a Whole Systems Approach.. Another component to the system is Bio Diversity within the farm. Specific types of blooming habitat for bio control agents must be present to create strong predators and parasites to aid in our assault of ever present pests! All adult parasites and most adult predators are nectar and pollen feeders only. That’s why, “if you build it, they will come”. Plant flowers!
Farming organically and sustainably can go hand in hand. It takes a dedication to sound Agronomy and a Whole Systems Approach
